Essential Functions
- Post customer account payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Resolve account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, account history, and directly from customers
- Perform daily invoicing and cash reconciliations
- Maintain accurate AR records within the accounting system
- Performs basic troubleshooting to reconcile account balances and inquire to obtain missing information or verify unusual data
- Resolves account collection issues by working with the Sales Manager to determine potential options such as customer payment plans, credit line, or external collections.
- Protects organization value by keeping information confidential
- Answers phone call and email inquiries regarding account balances.
- Establishes proposed credit limits, which are approved by the Controller
- All other duties as assigned

High School Diploma - Required
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business or other related field

Work Experience
- 3 years or more in accounts receivable position or similar accounting role
Preferred Skills
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to professionally resolve billing inquiries and payment issues
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, especially debits and credits
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems β Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus!
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Outlook, and Word. SharePoint)
- Proficient Excel and writing skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Superior organization skills
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
- Must possess a self-start attitude with the ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Flexible and team-oriented, with willingness to assist with administrative or operational duties when needed.
