Under the direction of the Machine Shop Manager, the Material Handler is responsible for the accurate storing, shipping and receiving of product to meet company standards or safety, security, and productivity. What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Shop Order Pulling:
- Accurately pull daily shop orders for internal customers by assembling production kits.
- Stage kits on the production floor in accordance with the assembly schedule.
- Daily clean up and organization not limited.
- Safely conduct general warehousing, shipping and receiving activities.
- Follow instructions as trained and delivered by Lead person.
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Assist in efficiently pulling customer orders to ensure timely shipping and delivery.
- Stocking of inbound received parts.
- Package completed assemblies for shipment.
- Cycle Counting:
- Conduct weekly inventory counts to maintain accurate records to ensure consistency and precision.
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- 1 year of warehouse experience or equivalent experience
- ERP System experience, IFS preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft suite applications
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized
- High school diploma preferred
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
- International shipping experience and/or certifications.
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
