What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Spurwink Services?
Come join a vibrant and welcoming outpatient and community practice at Spurwink! Spurwink's Outpatient and Community Services division is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative team in Portland. Comfortability and experience working with both children and adults required. This is a salaried 40 hour per week position but would consider 32 hour position for the right candidate.
DUTIES:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations/assessments and psychiatric medication management services.
- Maintain client records and documentation according to Spurwink, billing, regulatory and licensing standards including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Meet productivity expectations for billable services.
- Participate in team meetings and collateral communication to ensure care coordination as indicated.
- Participate in monthly/quarterly supervision depending on licensure requirements and keep supervisor apprised immediately of emergencies and/or situations that require mandated reporting.
- Demonstrate Spurwink values and Recovery principles in fulfilling all job responsibilities and actively support the integration of Spurwink values and Recovery principles in all areas of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Program and completion of an accredited graduate or certificate advanced practice education program required. 1-2 years of experience as a PMHNP in a community mental health setting is preferred. Maintenance of current Maine Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse License, maintenance of current national certification as a certified nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Maintenance of current Drug Enforcement Certification. Must maintain required licensing and certification throughout the duration of employment with Spurwink in this role.
