What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACT Clinician position at Spurwink Services?
Come join a vibrant, interdisciplinary team serving the complex needs of adults with serious mental illness in the Lewiston area. We are looking for a collaborative, engaging, and driven Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Clinician who has their Clinical Licensure.
This is a full-time year-round position providing individual, group, and family counseling to individuals with psychotic disorders and other serious mental illness, in community, home, and office-based settings. Clinicians work in partnership with the ACT team to help individuals meet their recovery goals. Clinicians participate in supervision, staff meetings, and professional growth opportunities.
DUTIES:
- Provide intake/assessment when individuals are referred and ongoing assessment as required.
- Facilitate Individual Service Plan team meetings and develop a plan of care (ISP) for individuals with input from the team.
- Oversee implementation of ISP, monitor, and document progress.
- Provide individual, group, and family client substance use disorder counseling utilizing best practices, culturally competent, trauma informed, and evidenced-based models.
- Collaborate with all of an individuals external treatment team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters's degree from an accredited school. Clinical licensure of: LMSW-CC, LCSW or LCPC-C, LCSW. Maine state alcohol and drug counselor certification preferred. 1-2 years of relevant supervisory experience preferred (i.e. mental health, social services). Must maintain required licensing and certification throughout the duration of employment with Spurwink in this role.
