PROGRAM MANAGER- Hope Valley, RI Group Home
SUMMARY: The program manager is responsible for the operation and functioning of all aspects of the
facility/program to which assigned. This includes administrative, supervisory and fiscal functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
1. Screening, employment, supervision/support and performance evaluation of support and professional staff.
2. Administration of the day-to-day operation of the program including home and vocational functions.
Creates and maintains coverage schedule.
Prepares and submits biweekly payroll.
Supervises and maintains upkeep of agency properties (i.e., residence, vehicles).
Ensures compliance in accordance with agency policies and licensing standards.
Works with the team in implementing policies, procedures, performance standards and outcome
measures.
Maintains documentation in accordance with agency/licensing standards (i.e., participant and medical
records, training, fire safety, daily logs).
3. Coordinates and directs team meetings (i.e., quarterly team meetings, staff meetings, annual individual
plans).
4. Works as a liaison with families, state and community level agencies as necessary.
5. Has Rep Payee Responsibilities (refer to Rep Payee Policy & Procedures)
6. Assesses and implements a schedule of annual training.
7. Participates in planning with senior administrative staff and governing body, (annual planning,
management team meetings).
8. Provides direction and leadership when problem solving and does so in a timely and effective manner.
9. Displays a commitment to excellence, advocates, and looks for ways to promote quality service.
10. Plans and organizes work activities, time and resources effectively.
11. Adapts to changes in the work environment and adjusts approach/method to best fit the situation.
12. Works with the approved budget and develops and implements cost savings measures when appropriate
(may include fundraising efforts).
13. Will assume direct support responsibilities upon the absence of staff or on an as needed basis.
14. And those other assignments appropriate to the position as determined by the Residential Coordinator/Executive Director.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages 1-3 subordinate supervisors. Is responsible for the overall
direction, and coordination and evaluation of these persons. Also directly supervises 10-30 non- supervisory
employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable
laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning assigning, directing work,
appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one
to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, REQUIREMENTS: RI Valid Driver’s license/registration ,Vehicle Insurance; Completion of Criminal Records check/fingerprinting; OIG and E-Verify; Safety Care Certification
