SUMMARY: The Residential Coordinator is responsible for the operation and functioning of spurwink|ri residential sites. This includes administrative, supervisory, and fiscal functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing to the development and administration of day-to-day operations of the residential programs to provide quality support to service recipients.
- Participating in the development and implementation of Person-Centered annual plans and processes.
- Attending annual ISP and quarterly progress meetings, assisting in initial goal development and follow-up assessments for participants.
- Assisting in the screening, employment, training, supervision, and on-site support of Program Managers.
- Cooperatively managing the screening and acceptance of residential participant referrals.
- Serving as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and attending meetings as representation of the residential department while providing appropriate feedback.
- Working as a liaison with families as well as both state and community agencies.
- Coordinating and directing monthly team meetings with Program Managers.
- Implementing policies, procedures, and performance standards while maintaining documentation in accordance with agency and licensing requirements.
- Assessing and implementing a schedule of annual trainings based on regulatory requirements and team feedback.
- Overseeing all aspects of licensing compliance, including health and safety regulations and the monitoring of maintenance needs of the facility.
- Participating in the creation and administration of agency policies and procedures.
- Ensuring HCBS Waiver requirements are met for individuals supported in residential settings.
- Serving as a member of the Senior Administration team and participating in various aspects of annual planning and creation of long-term business strategies.
- Assuring annual quality improvement goals and initiatives are met.
- Serving as a member of the Human Rights Committee, ensuring that documentation is distributed, and committee recommendations are implemented.
- Fulfilling on-call duties as required.
- Providing direction and leadership when problem solving in a timely and effective manner.
- Displaying a commitment to excellence while advocating and generating methods to promote quality services.
- Planning and organizing work activities, time, and resources effectively.
- Adapting to changes in the work environment and adjusting both approach and method to best fit the situation.
- Working within the approved budget and both developing and implementing cost-saving measures while contributing to profits and revenue and conserving organizational resources.
- And those other assignments appropriate to the position as determined by the Executive Director.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages seven (7) subordinate Program Managers who supervise approximately seventy-five (75) employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of agency units. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and engaging in conflict resolution.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with at least five (5) years’ experience leading a team in a relevant setting with at least five (5) to ten (10) years’ related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, possessing solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATION: Valid driver’s license, registration, and vehicle insurance, completion of criminal records checks and fingerprinting, OIG, and E-Verify; receive certification in CPR and training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), First Aid, and Universal Precautions upon hire.
OTHER: As an employee of spurwink|ri, the Residential Coordinator is expected to adhere to the policies and procedures of spurwink|ri. As they may be required to drive on agency business, they must maintain a current RI state driver’s license and a clean driving history as outlined in the spurwink|ri Employee Driving Policy.
