Role Description The Sign Installer role is a full-time, on-site position located in Dobson, NC. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing a variety of interior and exterior signs and awnings, using power tools, hand tools, and ladders or lifts in a safe and efficient manner. The role involves reading and interpreting work orders, drawings, and measurements, loading and transporting materials to job sites, and ensuring proper placement, alignment, and secure mounting of all installations. The Sign Installer will complete basic electrical connections as needed for illuminated signs, troubleshoot installation issues, and perform minor repairs or adjustments. The position also includes maintaining a clean work area, following safety protocols, interacting professionally with customers and team members, and supporting other installation or shop tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and follow installation instructions, blueprints, and measurements with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and power tools; comfort working on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
- Understanding of general construction or installation practices; experience with sign or awning installation is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic electrical concepts for illuminated signs is beneficial (training may be provided).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different job site conditions.
- Reliable transportation to the Dobson, NC worksite and flexibility to travel to local job locations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following OSHA or company safety standards.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed for installations.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in construction, fabrication, or a related trade is a plus.
