What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Maintenance Technician, 6pm - 6am position at Spuntech Industries Inc?
Spuntech Industries is a dynamic developer, manufacturer, and supplier of spunlace hydroentangled fabric products and is a world leader in the nonwoven market. Founded in 1996, the company has three production facilities - two in Israel; and one in Roxboro, North Carolina.
Spuntech is seeking a highly motivated, results-drive individual to join the Spuntech Team. Maintenance Electricians are responsible for troubleshooting and solving electronics and electrical systems problems.
The Maintenance Electrician will:
- Work on electronics and electrical systems (including but not limited to Controls, PLCs, motors, inverters, high-voltage systems, 3-phase systems, etc.
- Monitor and work on the plant electrical systems and sub-systems
- Help analyze electrical downtime; identify and implement corrective action
- Provide on-call coverage (includes nights and weekends); assist Production in the event of electrical or mechanical issues as necessary
- Keep maintenance areas clean, neat, and organized
- Perform other duties as required
Qualified Candidates should have the following:
- 5 years of experience as an electrician or a related role; experience in a continuous manufacturing process environment preferred
- High School Degree/GED (experience or combination of education and experience considered); professional certification(s) and/or college degree preferred
- Experience working with Controls/PLC, including troubleshooting
- Experience working with industrial electronics and wiring; ability to read and interpret diagrams
- 3-phase electrical experience required
- Experience working with variable speed motors
- Proficiency speaking, reading, and writing English
