What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vendor Management Specialist position at SPS?
This position is responsible for assisting the VP of Compliance in overseeing all aspects of the vendor risk management (VRM) program. The Sr. Vendor Risk Management Specialist acquires and reviews due diligence information from vendors, perform audits, provide oversight for business owners, assess potential vendors and manage existing vendor relationships. This individual is responsible for working with the VP of Compliance and other business units to assist and ensure the VRM program has been properly implemented, documented, and tested. Principal Duties: 1. Proactively participate in the development and execution of the VRM program. 2. Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Information Security, and other business units to adhere to Vendor Due Diligence and on-boarding policies. 3. Maintain and manage the collection and storage of due diligence documentation. 4. Support VP, Compliance in preparation of audits for regulatory agencies and other entities for the VRM program. 5. Participate in testing of Internal Control plans for key processes. 6. Compile and track key vendor SLAs and business units with any remediation items. 7. On-going vendor oversight with regard to performance and security risks. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 2. 3 years business experience. 3. Demonstrated analytical skills with advanced understanding of system-based software technology proficiency. 4. Ability to read contracts and agreements. 5. Understanding of Accounting Principles. 6. Minimum 5 years' experience in a position which required regular interaction with management. 7. Strategic thinking skills to translate strategic concepts into objective communications. 8. Excellent communication and interactive skills. 9. Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite. 10. Strong networking skills. 11. Superior interpersonal skills for working cohesively with others on projects, including conflict resolution, communicate ideas, and take direction. Preferred Qualifications: 1.
