What are the responsibilities and job description for the UAS Subject Matter Expert II (Contingent 0052) position at SPS?
This position is contingent upon award and a secret security clearance is required. The location is subject to change.
Responsibilities:

Serve as a senior-level technical authority in Support Equipment (SE) planning, development, testing, and lifecycle sustainment for UAS platforms and ground operations.

Provide advanced expertise in the analysis, specification, and acquisition of specialized SE including test equipment, maintenance aids, and ground support systems.

Evaluate and lead improvements in Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) activities to ensure compliance with MIL-STD and DoD policies.

Develop and review packaging strategies, preservation techniques, and shipping methods for optimal protection and readiness of UAS assets.

Lead the creation and validation of documentation such as SE support strategies, PHS&T plans, and risk assessments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SE and PHS&T processes support deployment timelines and lifecycle requirements.

Act as a key advisor during Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), design reviews, logistics evaluations, and sustainment planning.

Identify, assess, and mitigate logistics risks related to SE readiness and transportability across all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.

Provide highly specialized insight and leadership beyond conventional labor roles to solve complex acquisition and logistics challenges.
- Adhere to the company's AS9100 policies, procedures and guidelines.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical, business, or management discipline from an accredited institution;
*Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) preferred for this level.
Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in defense, industrial, or acquisition programs.

Recognized as a highly skilled expert with unique capabilities.

Demonstrated success in advising or leading complex programs involving acquisition logistics and technical system support.
Clearance:
SECRET clearance required.
