Are you a forward-thinking leader ready to shape the future of operations in a dynamic, high-impact environment? SPS is seeking a Director of Operations to lead our Pittsburgh, PA Document Processing Center, guiding the site through cultural and technological evolution while setting the gold standard for operational excellence and client experience.
In this role, you will be the strategic and cultural driver of our operations, responsible for optimizing processes, implementing advanced technology, and cultivating a high-performance, collaborative team. You’ll have the opportunity to transform workflows, champion automation, and influence the strategic direction of one of SPS’s key operational sites.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership & Transformation
- Lead the Pittsburgh site in achieving operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability.
- Drive cultural and technological change by challenging the status quo and implementing innovative solutions.
- Partner with senior leadership to align site goals with SPS’s broader strategic vision.
Technology Implementation & Optimization
- Champion automation and digital transformation initiatives to modernize operations.
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to implement and optimize cutting-edge solutions.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Cultural Leadership & Change Management
- Build an inclusive, resilient, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Promote employee engagement, professional growth, and a mindset of adaptability.
- Demonstrate and model SPS values: Clients First, Service Excellence, and Innovation.
Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Oversee daily operations to ensure workflows meet service standards and operational targets.
- Utilize data-driven insights to guide decisions, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Implement best practices in process improvement, including Lean, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set clear expectations, and drive talent development initiatives.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring high levels of service and customized solutions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and strengthen client partnerships.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, IT, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10 years leading teams in treasury services, cash management, or financial services.
- 8 years of strategic leadership experience driving technological innovation and cultural transformation.
- Proven success in leading complex operations, building high-performing teams, and executing strategic plans.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with exceptional EQ and communication.
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or process engineering methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of lockbox operations or highly regulated financial environments is a plus.
