Position Overview
We are seeking a Math Tutor / Academic Tutor to provide in-person and virtual tutoring services. While math is the primary focus, tutors must be willing and able to assist students in additional academic areas as needed.
This role is ideal for certified teachers, former educators, or highly qualified academic professionals who are passionate about student success.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in math (primary focus)
- Support students in other subject areas as assigned (middle and high school level)
- Deliver engaging, structured, and results-oriented instruction
- Adapt instruction based on student needs, learning styles, and academic goals
- Track student progress and communicate updates to administration as required
- Maintain a professional, supportive learning environment
- Follow SPS Tutor LLC instructional guidelines and policies
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Strong content knowledge in math
- Professional demeanor and reliability
- Ability to work with students of varying ages and ability levels
Preferred:
- Current or former teaching certification (Florida or other states)
- Classroom teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience with test preparation (SAT, ACT, CLT) is a plus
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Schedule & Location
- In-person tutoring at our Boca Raton, FL office
- Afternoon & evening availability required
- This is a hybrid remote position, you are required at our office at least once weekly and then the rest of the week may be virtual
- Very flexible scheduling permitted
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
