Integration Technician Journeyman

Integration Technician Journeyman
Location: Ashburn, Va
Integration Technician (Journeyman) is responsible for testing, configuring, validating, and preparing hardware and software for deployment to end-user locations. This position applies technical expertise to multiple complex assignments, exercises independent judgment in resolving technical issues, and ensures all systems meet quality, security, and operational requirements prior to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Test, configure, and validate new hardware and software received from the warehouse prior to deployment.
- Install, update, upgrade, and modify hardware and software configurations as directed.
- Verify that all systems are fully functional and meet organizational standards before shipment to end-user locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues during the staging and deployment process.
- Perform imaging, system builds, software installations, and operating system updates as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, testing results, inventory, and deployment activities.
- Ensure compliance with the company's AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Follow established cybersecurity, quality assurance, and operational processes throughout all deployment activities.
- Apply technical expertise across multiple complex work assignments requiring originality and sound judgment.
- Develop and implement methodologies to efficiently accomplish assigned tasks and resolve technical challenges.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision while identifying and implementing effective solutions.
- Contribute to project deliverables and support performance metrics where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deployment of IT assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience; or
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and four (4) to eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security CE or equivalent) is required.
- Experience configuring, imaging, testing, and deploying desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware.
- Experience installing, upgrading, and validating operating systems and software applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal government IT environments.
- Knowledge of asset management, warehouse staging, and deployment processes.
- Experience with automated imaging, deployment tools, and endpoint management solutions.
