Overview:
Spruceview Capital Partners LLC (“Spruceview”) is an institutional investment manager that was formed with the objective of providing highly customized investment solutions tailored to meet the unique objectives of its clients. Spruceview is looking to expand the team to satisfy the needs of our growing client base. Spruceview is looking to hire a Senior Staff Accountant who is responsible for a variety of data and reporting activities throughout the lifecycle of our separate account and co-mingled funds investment programs. The Senior Staff Accountant is a role accountable for the reporting and analysis of post-investment activities, as well as liaising with investment and client solutions team members to maintain and support client relationships. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively and operate in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment while handling competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Company Accounting
• Prepare recurring journal entries and account reconciliations for the management company.
• Lead monthly financial close activities.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with management company financial reporting and analysis.
• Performing accounts payable duties, including paying vendors and managing aged payables
• Prepare recurring invoices and revenue-sharing calculations for applicable counterparties.
• Assisting in the monthly financial statement preparation
• Assist with consolidation accounting across Spruceview’s management company entities, investment vehicles, and affiliated entities.
• Coordinate with third-party fund administrators to obtain accounting support, resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting accuracy.
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial statement preparation processes.
• Support audit requests, including investor confirmations, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and audit documentation.
• Maintain detailed accounting records and supporting documentation for multiple investment entities.
• Support accounting activities related to Spruceview’s international operations, including foreign subsidiaries and investment structures.
Treasury & Cash Management
• Prepare and process fund-level cash activity, including capital call and distribution wires.
• Coordinate wire processing, wire instruction verification, and required supporting documentation.
• Manage foreign currency transactions and FX trade submissions.
• Monitor cash activity and prepare weekly cash reporting for internal reporting and portfolio analytics systems.
• Support borrowing activities, including preparation of borrowing certificates and compliance documentation.
Tax & Regulatory Support
• Assist with preparation and coordination of tax-related filings, including information reporting requirements.
• Support preparation of regulatory filings and data requests, including Form ADV, Form PF, and other applicable reporting requirements.
• Maintain supporting schedules for assets under management and assets under administration reporting.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.
Payroll & Human Capital Support
• Support payroll accounting activities and coordinate with third-party payroll providers.
• Assist with employee onboarding and termination processes.
• Coordinate retirement plan administration activities and payroll-related reporting.
• Support employee benefit administration, including annual enrollment processes.
• Maintain employee expense and corporate card processes.
Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Licensed CPA.
• 8 years of accounting experience, preferably within private equity, asset management, financial services, or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with fund accounting, consolidation accounting, or investment management accounting preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting environments is preferred.
• Exposure to international accounting, foreign currency transactions, or cross-border operations preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and build financial models.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Experience
• Experience working with private equity funds, fund administrators, and third-party service providers.
• Experience with IFRS accounting is a plus
• Familiarity with capital calls, distributions, partnership accounting, and investment fund structures.
• Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with accounting systems, spend management platforms, portfolio reporting systems, and financial data platforms.
• Ability to identify process improvements and enhance accounting workflows.
Compensation & Benefits
• Full Time position
• Hybrid-remote position, required to report to work in-person at the company’s Denver, Colorado office approximately 4x/month, provided that the company will consider a fully-remote arrangement for an appropriate candidate
• The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000 per year. In addition, the role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus dependent on individual and business performance
