Client Service Representative (CSR)
Spruce Veterinary Urgent Care, a new, locally owned and independently operated facility in the Reedville area of south Hillsboro, Oregon! Spruce Veterinary Urgent Care represents an extension of our low-stress handling and thoughtful patient care philosophies that has made our general practice, Brooklyn Yard Veterinary Hospital, a stand-out practice in the Portland metro area. Our clinic is dedicated to filling a vital niche for compassionate and skilled urgent care services on the west side of the Portland metro area, driven by the people who understand that not one size fits all in terms of veterinary care.
We are seeking detail-oriented, motivated and enthusiastic veterinary professionals to join our establishing team as a full-time Client Service Representative. This can be a fast-paced position that involves the ability to think critically. We are willing to teach the right individual skills for confident and accurate communication with our clients.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Triaging clients, scheduling appointments, and managing the reception area
- Reviewing medical records and data input
- Exam room set up and clean up
- Keeping the waiting area organized, clean, and inviting
- Effective verbal and written communication with clients, team members, and doctors

- Be inquisitive, ask questions, and know how to utilize resources
- Must love both pets and people—the majority of this position is customer service oriented.

- Be familiar with computers and office software, we are a paperless practice and utilize both SmartFlow and EzyVet.
- Be adaptable. We are a new clinic and our protocols change as we continue to grow and add more services.
- High emotional intelligence. This can be a stressful job at times and how you communicate and manage conflict is very important.
The requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least one year of customer service experience in any field
- Must be able to work weekends
- Reliability
- Have strong typing skills and a polished telephone etiquette
- Previous veterinary receptionist experience is preferred, but not required

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
