We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our fast-growing e-commerce technology team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and microservices that power high-volume online shopping experiences. The role requires strong expertise in Python, cloud technologies, databases, and integrations with payment, inventory, and order management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Develop features supporting e-commerce platforms such as product catalog, shopping cart, checkout, order management, inventory, and customer accounts.
- Integrate third-party services including payment gateways, shipping providers, tax services, and ERP systems.
- Optimize application performance for high-traffic environments.
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product managers.
- Develop database models and optimize SQL queries.
- Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Monitor production systems and troubleshoot performance issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of Python development experience.
- Strong experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience with Redis or Memcached for caching.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of Git version control.
- Experience with unit testing using PyTest or UnitTest.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
