What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Coordinator position at Spruce Lake?

In this peaceful setting in the heart of the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania, Spruce Lake and Pinebrook provide Christian church, family and corporate groups with lodging, meeting spaces and meals for their next event or retreat. Spruce Lake also hosts summer camps, programmatic retreats, and outdoor education programs throughout the year.
The Dining Room Coordinator (DRC) is the lead host | hostess coordinating the smooth and effective operation of the food and drink service lines. The DRC is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of dining staff, serving lines and dining room; and of a service-oriented atmosphere of welcome and hospitality.

- Must have a teachable spirit, team-player attitude, and servant heart.
- Must be responsible, industrious, hospitable, and enthusiastic.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of food service hospitality experience.
- Minimum of one year of progressive supervisory experience.
- Highschool diploma or GED required.
- Neat, professional appearance and attire.
- Flexible schedule including ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings and rotating weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements: able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 45 lbs., perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, shoulders.
