Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system and ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle all sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing, adhering to cash handling protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared correctly and served promptly; support food handling and preparation when needed
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Must be willing to work on weekends, holidays when required
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems with cashiering and sales transaction processing required
- Culinary experience or food industry background highly desirable; familiarity with food safety standards essential
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences
- Barista experience is a plus
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude; guest relations focus is key
- Ability to handle food safely, maintain sanitation standards, and support kitchen operations as needed
- Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, cash handling, and inventory management
