Job Overview

Spruce Chattanooga is seeking experienced, detail‑driven cleaning contractors to support our growing portfolio of short‑term rental properties across Chattanooga and the surrounding areas. This is independent contractor work with predictable weekly turnovers, clear expectations, and a clean, professional workflow.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including but not limited to dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning and laundry.
• Implement effective cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygienic environments in residential.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor swiffers, steam cleaners, and janitorial tools safely and efficiently.
• Manage heavy lifting (~50 lbs or less) and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to maintain safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of surfaces by applying appropriate cleaning detergents and disinfectants while adhering to sanitation protocols.
• Communicate professionally with team leads to understand specific supply needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage time effectively to complete scheduled tasks within designated timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep detailed records of completed work, supplies used, guest damages, and any issues encountered during service delivery.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning roles such as janitorial or custodial work.
• Familiarity with a wide range of cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, dusting, surface sanitation, laundry services, and staging.
• Hands-on experience with various cleaning equipment and tools used for deep cleaning and maintenance.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and sanitation procedures to ensure safe environments.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs independently with effective time management skills.

Pay is per job. Pay ranges based on property size and type of cleaning required (typical turnover or deep clean).

Hours needed are typically between 10am-4pm.
