Sr. Financial Analyst, IT

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) IT Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the alignment of IT projects with business financial goals. This role requires a deep understanding of finance and the ability to influence key decision-making processes across various departments.

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, budget preparation, and forecasting activities for IT-related expenses, investments, and initiatives.
• Reporting & Performance Metrics: Develop and present regular financial reports on IT spending, performance, and alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Cost Management: Analyze IT budgets and help in tracking the actual spend against the forecast. Recommend corrective actions where necessary to ensure financial goals are met.
• Collaboration: Partner with IT and other departments to understand business needs, assist with resource allocation, and optimize financial performance.
• Project Financial Oversight: Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial analysis and insights on ongoing IT projects, ensuring they remain within budget and timeline.
• Forecasting & Scenario Modeling: Lead the process of quarterly and annual IT financial forecasts, considering changes in technology initiatives, business priorities, and market conditions.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Risk Management: Identify and evaluate financial risks within the IT function and provide recommendations for mitigation.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, preferably within IT or technology-related industries 
• Experience working with IT financial systems or software (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow).
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities. Ability to identify trends, create actionable insights, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Project Management: Understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to manage financial aspects of IT projects effectively.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and explain complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and solve complex financial issues related to IT projects
