Senior Procurement Category Manager

This position reports into our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ.

As a Senior Procurement Category Manager, you will oversee the procurement of construction materials, fixtures and capital equipment for Sprouts Farmers Market. The successful candidate will lead the procurement strategy, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services critical to the organization's success. This high-impact leadership role is ideal for a procurement expert
ready to grow with a continuously expanding organization.

• Identify, evaluate, select, and negotiate with vendors to maximize the quality of purchased goods and services while controlling costs
• Analyze market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risk
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure compliance with company policies
• Conduct cost modeling i.e., TCO and ROI to build business case with recommendations highlighting best value for the organization
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and budgets

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on construction, fixtures, and capital equipment
• Experience as a people leader managing complex category and business stakeholders is preferred
• Ability to influence stakeholders without authority and drive decisions for success
• Leads and directs the work of other employees with full authority for personnel decisions
• Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures, with some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural changes
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
• Experience with vendor management software
