What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr Pricing Analyst position at Sprouts Farmers Market?
The Pricing Team directly supports the Merchandising Department by enabling decisions leading to greater profitability and partnering cross-functionally to execute corporate strategies. This team is also responsible for strategy creation, planning and executing pricing strategies, and competitive intelligence functions.
The Jr. Pricing Analyst assists the pricing team in enforcing pricing strategies as well as driving profitability and shared growth. The position also interacts with the merchandising and pricing teams to ensure financial objectives are met in accordance with our guidelines while executing everyday changes to maintain the desired pricing targets.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Create and monitor reports to oversee the pricing position and strategy.
- Maintain tight deadlines for reacting to pricing needs along with communicating deadlines within the business.
- Foster a collaborative partnership with members of the merchandising departments.
- Provide pricing recommendations to merchants based on competitive intelligence and optimization details.
- Ensure price changes are executed in a manner consistent with internal policies and procedures.
- Review pricing trends to keep business informed of any shifts.
- Provide support in the area of pricing analytics.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Retail experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, cross functional agility, and effective communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
