Duties
- Deliver age-appropriate curricula that promotes cognitive, social/emotional, fine motor, large motor, and linguistic development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Lead prayers at meal times and read Bible stories with children.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among children.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including behavior management, diapering/toileting, play, and transitions to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong partnerships supporting each child's welfare.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of incidents and medication administration.
- Maintain current certifications such as First Aid and CPR to ensure safety at all times while delivering high-quality childcare.
Qualifications
- Love and passion for caring for young children.
- Ability to implement classroom management strategies, daily activities, and behavior interventions to maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Relevant certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Assistant Childcare Teacher, Skills and Strategies, and Infant and Toddler or a willingness and ability to complete the coursework necessary within your introductory period at Sprouts.
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly desirable; familiarity with private school or daycare standards is beneficial.
- Ability to lift/carry children up to 40 pounds.
