Responsibilities
- Design lesson plans and activities that fit into our curriculum, which include social-emotional, art, language, math, science, and physical development.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and respectful behavior among children.
- Support children’s individual needs by applying special education techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to monitor developmental progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and daily scheduled activities via our BrightWheel app.
- Lead activities that promote childhood development milestones, including circle time, action songs, book reading, and other activities that require an active leader.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or at home settings is essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, classroom management, and lesson planning.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Strong and respectful communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Certification or training in childhood development or early childhood education preferred; such as the Nebraska ELG classes, Safe with You, Prepare to Care, Health and Safety by the Lincoln Health Department, and CPR.
- At least 18 years of age with no criminal history.
- Team-oriented mindset, willingness to take part in cleaning duties, and share classroom responsibilities with co-teachers.

Pay: $15.10 - $18.00 per hour
