Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare and educational team. Duties
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans for children and adults with diverse communication needs.
- Support clients with speech disorders, language delays, voice disorders, fluency issues, and other communication challenges through targeted exercises and activities.
- Document client progress and therapy sessions accurately to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
- Collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support for clients’ communication goals.
- Support early intervention programs by working with young children with developmental delays or disabilities in school or clinical settings.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and speech-language pathology techniques to deliver effective support.
Experience
- Current registration as a Speech -Language Pathology Assistant with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (or eligible for registration before employment).
- Able to work under the supervision of a licensed North Carolina Speech -Language Pathologist
- Prior experience working with children or students with disabilities in educational or clinical environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child language development and speech-language pathology principles.
- Experience supporting clients with language disorders and implementing speech therapy strategies effectively.
- Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and early intervention programs enhances your ability to contribute meaningfully.
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for supporting diverse populations and improving client communication.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery.
