Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on established ABA protocols under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene, promoting independence and self-care skills
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and functional skills through engaging teaching strategies
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in care plans and progress updates
- Adhere strictly to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts while delivering high-quality client care
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other disabilities
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques
- Ability to implement ABA therapy protocols with fidelity in various settings, including home-based environments and schools
- Skilled in data collection, analysis, and documentation related to behavioral health interventions
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodiverse populations in educational or clinical settings
- Excellent client communication skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive medical information
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive care plans
