Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, education, or related field
- Experience working with children with autism and other disabilities
- Applied behavior analysis experience (6 months )
- Outgoing and high energy with great people skills
- Desire to advance and grow in the field of behavior analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Reliable transportation
- Computer and technology skills
- Must speak fluent english, bilingual is a plus
The current opening is for daytime and afternoon hours. This is a part time hourly position.
Behavior technicians will be responsible for:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a non-exempt, hourly wage position. The RBT will provide ABA-based therapy to Sprout's clients. The RBT will be responsible for implementing treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). The RBT will work with the BCBA to monitor the progress of the treatment plan and make changes to the plan as required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver ABA/VB therapy to clients who have behavioral needs and developmental delays in cognitive adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and communication
- Implement behavior acquisition programs created by a BCBA
- Implement behavior reduction protocols
- Ongoing data collection
- Effectively communicate with parents, teachers, and colleagues
- Work in clinic, school and home settings
- Attend client staffing and ongoing trainings
- Implement feedback delivered during live supervision and from written evaluations
- Satisfactorily pass treatment integrity checks and ongoing evaluations
- React to change productively and handle other essential tasks
- Arrive to therapy sessions on-time
- Supervise clients (children) during therapy sessions
- Move around the therapy session space
- Bend, squat, sit, walk, and run during therapy sessions
- Quickly react and respond to unpredictable and volatile behavior of clients
- Perform well in high stress environments
