Local printer seeks Equipment Operator/Production Worker
Equipment Operator is responsible for reviewing job tickets, setting up digital presses & other equipment; running quality work efficiently, and keeping a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
This role requires a keen eye for detail and production deadlines, with a dedication to producing high-quality printed materials. Requires a great attitude, willingness to work hard and stay busy on shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively run production machines on a daily basis, watching for quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary to meet product specifications
- Perform post-press services (cutting, folding, assembly, etc.)
- Manage workflow, keep stations clean, paper stocked, etc
- Setup supplies and paper, supervise the printing press during each operation
- Checks finished printed products, ensuring compliance with function, quality and cosmetic specifications
- Keep machines scheduled, maintained and running at maximum capacity
- Schedule technician services as needed
- Make deliveries if needed (good driving record required)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines
Problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot issues
Aptitude for machinery and equipment a plus.
Ability to read and understand job tickets
Ability to walk and stand for duration of shift
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Work Schedule:
- 30-40hrs/week, in office
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting pay: $16 per hour
