GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking hardworking, dependable individuals to join our team. This position is responsible for entering and pulling orders, identifying customer needs, and answering product-related questions. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all customers
- Work well with others in a team-oriented environment
- Learn and maintain knowledge of products including irrigation components, landscape lighting, hardscape materials, water feature products, and drainage systems
- Assist residential customers and contractors with orders and product questions
- Arrive on time and prepared to work
- Perform physical job requirements, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs
- Learn and effectively use the company computer system
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment
- Complete all paperwork accurately and thoroughly
- Pull orders quickly and accurately
- Build rapport and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Follow company dress code policies
- Continually expand product knowledge and operational skills to improve performance
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in other areas as directed by a supervisor
- Operate company vehicles in a professional and courteous manner
- Learn to safely and effectively operate a forklift
- Help maintain a clean and organized building and work environment
- Attend required job and product training sessions
- Perform warehouse duties including pulling transfers, checking in freight, and assisting with additional warehouse tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Experience:
Sales, customer service, or landscaping experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate.
