Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to complete repairs efficiently.
- Execute vehicle alignments, wheel balancing, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold safety standards and deliver exceptional customer service during the repair process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, schematics interpretation, and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices required for repairs.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred; diesel engine repair experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly to clients.
