Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Support early intervention strategies and adapt teaching methods for children with special education needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and social interactions among students.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor each child's growth and learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, child development progress, incident reports, and mandated reporting laws compliance.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and special education practices.
- Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is a plus.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations ensures compliance with legal standards.
