Requirements / Qualifications

The employee must possess a valid CA Clear Single Subject California teaching credential - Social Science and be willing to work with high school students of varying ability levels and with varying educational needs. Bi-Lingual a plus. Experience with Springs Charter Schools or other charter schools preferred. Prior independent study teaching experience is highly desirable. * All candidates must reside within our service areas, including Riverside, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino or Los Angeles Counties.

The Journey H.S. ES will serve the independent study homeschool high school students under the supervision of the Homeschool Department throughout the County of service hired. As a Journey H.S. ES, qualified applicants will act as the ambassador of the school and the main source of support and communication between the school and the family working with students in grades 9-12, collaborating with parents and students on goal setting, curriculum and lesson planning, administering assessments, monitoring progress, assigning grades and units, and completing all related documentation. ESes may be assigned additional related duties as required by Springs Charter Schools (SCS). For more information about the specific job duties, please review the job description. Notes: * A virtual assessment will be administered as part of the selection process. * Upon hire, employee may be placed in multiple charters which could have tax implications. * Position is cross posted.
