Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: * High School Diploma or the equivalent; and * 2 years of college (48 units ), or Associate's degree (A. A.) or higher; or 2-3 years experience in a school setting working with children * Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Tutoring experience a plus, and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students is preferred.

*A completed EDJOIN online application is required. The resume does not take the place of a completed application. Upload all required documents named exactly as stated (e.g., Letter of Recommendation) in order to be considered for this position. * Applicants should upload transcripts with their application if education is required by the position or claimed on the application. The aide will work with an 8th grade student in instructional practices, curriculum, outside activities, physical education, electives, and recess. Candidate must be patient, kind, friendly, observant, able to keep good documentation, and collaborate with teachers and parents. See job description for list of duties and responsibilities. Notes: * Special Education competency test will be administered to qualified applicants. * Upon hire will need to provide supporting Education documentation (College units, AA or higher Degree, certificate copy) if required by position or claimed on application. * Springs Charter Schools adheres to all California Department of Public Health mandates to ensure in-person instruction at campuses and administrative operations are conducted in a safe manner consistent with state and local public health guidance. * Springs Charter Schools has the sole discretion to close this job posting at any time.
