Duties
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest uniforms efficiently.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as spot treating stains, pressing, and folding laundry items with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by organizing supplies and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Assist with dry cleaning processes when necessary, ensuring delicate or special items are handled with care.
- Follow safety procedures related to chemical use and machine operation to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to deliver fresh linens promptly and meet guest needs swiftly.
Experience
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, ironing, and stain removal.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene.
