Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Houseperson, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our hotel. This energetic position involves supporting housekeeping operations by ensuring public areas, hallways, and back-of-house spaces are spotless, well-organized, and inviting for guests and staff alike. Your proactive approach will contribute to creating a welcoming environment that exceeds guest expectations and upholds our high standards of hospitality excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning and maintaining public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators to ensure they are pristine and inviting.
• Support housekeeping staff by replenishing supplies, removing trash, and performing routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Ensure all floors are cared for according to safety standards, including stripping and waxing hard surfaces when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house areas like storage rooms and utility closets to promote an organized work environment.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management to ensure quick resolution.
• Help with furniture moving or setup for events or guest requests to facilitate smooth operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and hotel policies to uphold a secure and hygienic environment for guests and staff.

Experience

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial work is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest service principles enhances your ability to support the team effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards across multiple areas.
• Prior housekeeper management experience is beneficial but not required; we value motivated individuals eager to learn.
