Role Summary
The Assistant Hotel Manager supports the General Manager in daily operations, team leadership, and guest satisfaction. This role balances hands-on problem solving with strategic oversight across front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is service-driven, organized, and ready to step in wherever the hotel needs leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience: Ensure consistent, high-quality guest service and handle escalated guest concerns to resolution.
- Operations Management: Oversee front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance workflows to meet brand standards and operational targets.
- Team Leadership: Coach, schedule, and evaluate staff; foster a positive, accountable workplace culture.
- Revenue and Cost Control: Support revenue management initiatives, monitor budgets, and control labor and operating costs.
- Compliance and Safety: Maintain health, safety, and regulatory compliance across departments.
- Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly operational reports and assist with performance analysis and action plans.
Qualifications
- Experience: Hotel experience is preferred
- Education: High school diploma required; associate degree or hospitality certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Technical: Proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Availability: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
