Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
- Conduct detailed floor care including vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and applying appropriate treatments for different surfaces
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or equipment safely using manual handling procedures
- Manage janitorial supplies inventory and notify management when stock needs replenishing
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents’ or guests’ requests promptly and professionally
- Follow established housekeeping management protocols to ensure consistency and quality across all tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping roles
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy items or performing outdoor work
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience with laundry operations and janitorial responsibilities preferred
- Familiarity with outdoor work environments and outdoor maintenance tasks is a plus
- Knowledge of housekeeping management systems or procedures is advantageous
