What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Inspector position at Springhill Suites Augusta?
We’re hiring a housekeeping inspector to provide excellent sanitation and customer service to our hotel guests. You’ll be responsible for helping lead the housekeeping staff, ensuring team members perform their job duties to our high standards, and keeping the housekeeping department well-stocked with cleaning supplies. Applicants should have hospitality experience, enjoy their work, and demonstrate a commitment to meeting and exceeding guest expectations. Previous experience in a supervisory role is required. Compensation:
$15 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas
- Make sure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and schedule repairs as needed
- Track of areas cleaned by room attendants and contact the front office to handle room damage or maintenance needs
- Assist housekeeping leadership with inspecting rooms to the highest standard
- Cleaning rooms when needed
Qualifications:
- Must possess excellent leadership, organizing, and customer service skills
- At least 2 years experience in hospitality or guest services
- Over 3 years of experience as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping manager, or similar
- A High school diploma or GED is required
- Extensive knowledge of environmental services (EVS), including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector experience is preferred
- Excellent housekeepers with attention to detail encouraged to apply as well
