A Room Attendant/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, comfortable, and attractive guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This role ensures guests have a positive experience by providing high standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Change bed linens and replace towels and toiletries
- Vacuum carpets, sweep, mop, and dust furniture and surfaces
- Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and fixtures
- Restock guest room supplies and amenities
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to management
- Ensure all rooms are prepared and inspected before guest check-in
- Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment
- Dispose of trash and dirty linens properly
- Assist with cleaning public areas when needed
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and time management skills
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shifts
