Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and writing detailed reports in accordance with procedural law and evidence law
- Enforce traffic laws through traffic stops, citations, and accident investigations while ensuring safe operation of standard passenger cars
- Execute arrest procedures following law enforcement protocols while respecting individual rights and legal standards
- Apply first aid and CPR when necessary to provide immediate medical assistance during emergencies
- Utilize surveillance techniques and conduct searches or seizures in compliance with search and seizure laws
- Maintain physical conditioning to meet the demands of the role and participate in ongoing use of force training and conflict management exercises
- Handle animal-related incidents responsibly, including animal control or care when required
- Collaborate with other agencies on criminal investigations involving criminal law experience or immigration law issues as needed
Skills
