Springhill Medical Center is a full service hospital serving southwest Alabama. Our surgical services include outpatient, inpatient, open-heart and robotic surgery. The hospital is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, meaning doctors have advanced technology to help them quickly determine a patient's health problem. Springhill's unique heart center offers state-of-the-art services all under one roof. The campus is also home to primary care physicians, a senior residence, sleep center, cancer center, orthopaedic surgery center, wound care & hyperbaric center, and an emergency department staffed by all board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Job Overview: Our Retail Pharmacy is located on the campus of Springhill Medical Center. Springhill’s Pharmacy is open to the general public and serves all hospital employees, physicians, medical staff, and their families. We are looking for a strong Pharmacy Tech who can contribute to our ongoing success and provide excellent service to our patients and customers. This is a full-time position. Available shifts are Monday through Friday, 8a-6p, and Saturday, 8a-1p. Weekends alternate between technicans.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current Alabama Pharmacy Technician license
- National Phamacy Technician Certification preferred, but not required
Job Requirements:
- Basic math skills used to calculate prescription data correctly and handle money at the register
- Basic computer skills for prescription processing
- Follows all rules and regulations set forth by Alabama Board of Pharmacy, as well as Springhill Pharmacy, LLC
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Physical ability to perform minimal exertion for up to 25 lbs on a regular basis
- Works well with others
