What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cafe Cashier - Dietary position at Springhill Medical Center?

Position Overview: This is full-time position working various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Full benefits are offered. Under the general direction of the Cafe Supervisor/Manager, you will perform a variety of duties related to the cash handling and customer service to staff and visitors. We are seeking a leader who will be able to supervise daily operations and support our cashier team.
Pre-employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education Requirements:
- Validation of high school diploma or equivalent preferred, but will consider previous related work experience.
Job Requirements:
- Mobile County Health Department Food Handlers card or Serve Safe Certification
- Previous cashier experience is required
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Follow cash handling procedures
- Assist Retail Supervisor in daily operations
- Lead and motivate staff to complete daily tasks
- Prepare daily cafe receipts for processing as well as reports
- Handle escalated customer service concerns
- Cross-train for other positions
