What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Coordinator- Cardiopulmonary position at Springhill Medical Center?
- Assists the Director in the planning, organizing, leading and controlling the departmental operations.
- The Director of Respiratory Therapy supervises and oversees the clinical activities of all Respiratory Therapy staff technicians and therapists in the performance of patient care activities including documentation, equipment processing, education, assessment and scheduling.
- Acts as Director of Respiratory Therapy in the Director's absence.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required .
Requirements:
- Graduate of approved program for Respiratory Therapy
- Certification of Registry by the National Board of Respiratory Care or the National Board for Cardiopulmonary Credentialing required.
- College hours with attention to math, biology, chemistry, and physics preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Respiratory Therapy required .
- Strong background and knowledge of Cardio-respiratory anatomy, physiology, patho-physiology, test data acquisition, all respiratory therapy modalities with particular attention to ventilator techniques and critical care procedures, infection control and quality assurance practices.
