The Role
The Donor & Alumni Relations Manager supports SpringHill's mission by strengthening relationships with donors and alumni through thoughtful communication, storytelling, and stewardship. This role drives the monthly donor and alumni programs, provides key support for mid-level donor management and fundraising campaigns, and assists with donor events and administrative needs. Working closely with the Development and Operation teams, you'll ensure timely correspondence, data accuracy, and excellent donor care.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Support (55%)
- Drive the monthly donor program through creation, recruitment, retention, recognition, and relationship building.
- Champion the alumni program, keeping them engaged with stories and the mission of camp, with the goal of financial partnership.
- Support mid-level donor management ($1,000 – $15,000 range), ensuring excellent communication and stewardship.
- Support the execution of annual appeals, campaigns, and donor events.
Administration & Support (30%)
- Work with the marketing team to help manage donor correspondence, thank-yous, and impact reporting.
- Provide CRM and administrative support for Development Team meetings, schedules, and donor follow-up.
- Assist with event logistics and donor gatherings.
Grants (10%)
- Research potential grant opportunities that align with SpringHill's mission.
- Write grant proposals, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain a grant submission and reporting calendar, ensuring timely deadlines.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data, outcomes, and stories for proposals and reports.
Other Duties (5%)
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to further the organization's mission.
Requirements:
What we're looking for
- A deep commitment to SpringHill's mission and ministry philosophy.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field.
- Excellent communication skills with a knack for storytelling.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with CRM/database systems and email platforms preferred.
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work independently with little oversight, taking ownership of job responsibilities.
- Preference for prior experience with SpringHill or a strong understanding of its impact.
- Excellent writing skills, with experience in grant writing preferred.

At SpringHill, we take our mission into the world daily This role requires a presence in Evart, Michigan in order to maintain a pulse on the happenings at camp. Some travel to donor events and in person meetings as well as some nights and weekends will be required.
