Substitute Custodians

HOURS: As Needed

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be constantly alert for unsafe conditions and report them immediately. BE SAFTEY MINDED
2. High School Diploma or GED
3. Be able to read and interpret written work instructions, which are left by the Head Custodian or Principal/Building Manager
4. Be able to work under the direction of supervisor (Head Custodian) and be able to work with other District Personnel
5. Ability to perform all job-related functions
6. Must have reliable transportation
7. Ability to maintain adequate attendance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sweep rooms, halls, entrances and sidewalks
2. Dust and move furniture
3. Wet mop and operate scrubbing/buffing machines
4. Vacuum and shampoo carpeting
5. Wash windows inside and out
6. Wash furniture, chalkboards, walls and lighting fixtures
7. Clean restrooms, fixtures, walls and floors
8. Replace light bulbs
9. Remove snow from sidewalks and apply de-icer
10. Perform general yard maintenance 
11. Perform other job related duties as assigned
