DAYS PER YEAR: 203
HOURS PER DAY: 3.5 (2:30pm - 6:00pm)
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly interested in school-age children.
- Warm, positive attitude and an ability to relate with children and adults.
- Willingness to fulfill the program goals.
- Prefer a degree in Child Care, teaching, or a related area of study – MUST HAVE 60 college credits.
- Take any required online training classes (Gateways).
- Become CPR and First Aid certified (Project SCOPE will provide the class).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and implement activities in the extended day program
- Meet the needs of the individual child
- Treat each child with dignity and respect
- Assume an equal share of housekeeping responsibilities with the staff
- Attend any mandatory staff meetings and participate in training programs
- Establish a positive liaison with parents and children
- Assist in fulfilling the program goals
- Support school rules and staff members
- Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator or Immediate Supervisor
SALARY:
Assistant: $17.83 per hour (26-27) Without 60 college credit hours
Associate: $18.64 per hour (26-27) With 60 college credit hours
Salary : $18 - $19
