SUMMARY: The Staff Development Coordinator will provide leadership to the Department of Nursing by creating a framework of educational services that promote the growth and development of its licensed and unlicensed staff. The educational model should reflect the Department of Nursing Philosophy and Standards of Practice and increasing the staff competency. The Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program Instructor provides quality instruction and maintains a positive learning environment in the classroom, with major emphasis placed on teaching, supporting, and evaluating students. The instructor role provides instruction and monitors teaching/learning effectiveness in the Nurse Aide Training Program. The incumbent must exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask while engaging large groups of people with complicated material.:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Currently licensed Registered nurse without restrictions.:
- If you are not a licensed Registered nurse, have the ability to complete the Ohio Train the Trainer course and complete it prior to hire start date.:
- Minimum of two years (3200 hours) of nursing, at least one of which (1600 hours) must be in the provision of long-term care facility services (Home health, assisted living, acute care and outpatient services do not satisfy this requirement):
- Current Ohio Train the Trainer (TTT) or eligible to take the Ohio TTT course and completing prior to hire start date. To be considered current, must have taken the TTT course, or taught or coordinated at least one Training and Competency Evaluation Program (TCEP) within the previous 24 consecutive months. If the applicant does not have a current TTT certificate, it must be obtained prior to date of hire.:
