Job Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician's primary role is to implement individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA/BCaBA to improve clients' social, communication, and learning skills through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Implementation of ABA Programs: Execute individualized treatment plans the supervising BCBA/BCaBA developed.
•Data Collection: Accurately collect and record data on client progress and behaviors during sessions.
•Behavior Management: Apply appropriate techniques to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors.
•Skill Acquisition: Teach new skills using ABA strategies, including discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, and task analysis.
•Session Preparation: Prepare materials and organize the environment to ensure optimal learning conditions.
•Collaboration: Work closely with clients, families, and other team members to provide consistent and effective therapy.
•Training and Supervision: Participate in training and supervision sessions to enhance skills and ensure fidelity to the treatment plan.
•Professional Conduct: Adhere to the RBT Ethics Code and maintain professional boundaries with clients and families.
•Communication: Maintain open, ongoing communication with the supervising BCBA/BCaBA regarding client progress and challenges.
•Performs related duties as required or assigned.
