What are the responsibilities and job description for the 4 Part-Time, Highly Qualified Instructional Assistant/Paraprofessional position at Springfield Elementary?
(4) Instructional Assistant (IA)/Paraprofessional: part-time, 10 months, 6 hours/day, starting the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year. The successful candidate will support students in the Autistic Classroom, both in individual and small group settings, as directed by the teacher or supervisor. The ability to work calmly with student(s) exhibiting behavioral and academic challenges and have the ability to follow the direction of as needed. Although not required, those with a teaching certification are encouraged to apply.
Hourly rate is $24.90/hr, after a successful probationary period, as per the PESPA contract, no health benefits with this position.
Applicants must have strong technology skills, be highly qualified as defined by federal standards, which require either two completed years of study at an institution of higher education, an associate’s (or higher) degree, or PDE Highly Qualified certification.
