The Research Assistant is responsible for coordinating and executing research on behalf of the medical professionals of the practice, in line with the mission of education and research
Job Relationships
Reports to the applicable leader.
Principal Responsibilities
- Access and collect data related to IRB approved and Chair oversight research.
- Collaborate with surgeons on developing and executing research projects.
- Present research at meetings.
- If working in Orthopedics write and publish manuscripts.
- Collaborate with other specialties.
- If working in Orthopedics educate residents and students on research methods and execution.
- Manage SPSS, Excel, and Redcap databases.
- Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
- Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
- Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- SPSS and Excel experience. Medical School Completion preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled communicator and good human relations. Possess computer and problem-solving skills.
